To Protect and to Serve II

Why was he pulled over?

When you answer thar question, then you can ask yourself if we live in a corrupt police state or if everything is just fine.
I think we are somewhere in between. We still have some officers with a complex that’s overly aggressive and step all over people’s natural rights to be left alone. On the other hand we have officers who are respectful, recognize others rights and only intervene when there’s an injured party.
90% of my interactions with police have been fine. I’ve stopped at accidents that happen in front of me and the police appreciated my intervention and triage. Once the scene is under control, I leave. Both tickets I’ve received in 25 years have been perfectly cordial.
I interact with police at work with prisoners. They even help me pull prisoners up in bed.
I get to see the human side. I definitely have a problem with those who act like robots, take steroids, act like God and trample on people’s rights. I still feel that’s a small percentage.

Basically people that support gun control and say "all cops are bad" are no different than people that say "blue lives matter" and say "come and take it". Who is going to enforce your gun control laws? Who is going to be the entity that comes to take your guns?

Didn't Ben & Jerry's get bought out by some corporate behemoth or hedge fund? Usually when that happens they cheapen products until they ruin them and put them out of business.

All of this over some soda pop and detergent.

Once the police are called, I guess someone automatically has to go to jail, because the claim is the lady tried to pay for the items but wasn't allowed to.

Surprised they didn't try to shoot her in the back for escaping from the cops...

This is a wicked azz system we are being oppressed over.

My question is why is a 73 year old dementia pt who has issues communicating with the outside world out and about unaccompanied? Family??

I think the dislocated shoulder and broken arm show no one cared what means they used to restrain her. Dementia pts become extremely combative when you put hands on them.
Follow her home, get her address and write her a effing ticket.

And most importantly for her safety moving forward get her in a facility that can see to her needs if no one in the family is able to.
