Teen boy fatally shot by Chicago police officer in 'armed confrontation'
I am critical of the police in many cases but unless something comes out of the investigation that he had put his gun down, he caused his own death.

I understand his mom is distraught but he was hanging around with an adult who was having a negative influence on him. He wanted to be a police officer?🤔

😴
The mother said her son wanted to become a police officer when he grew up.

“He was so full of life,” she told the news station. “They just took it away from him.”

13 year old hanging out with a 21 year old..... mom where was your son?

Yep, this kid was being initiated into gang life. The adult who was with him is responsible and should never see the light of day again. Horrible, but again another example of parents placing blame on police unfairly. A 13 year old with a pistol is just as lethal as an adult, very sad situation.

No blame from the mother in the article on the 21 year old. No blame for not knowing where your child is. You can’t let your kids slip into the streets and not expect bad things to happen.

What did I miss here? What was the entire point of this video?
Satire. The cops came in to break up a church service, and this Youtuber was playing the part of the typical cop bootlicker. Only thing is, normally, the cop bootlickers are all fine and dandy defending police when it comes to certain issues, but seem to have a change of heart when it comes to something that actually affects their lives.

Meh... 50/50 that these cops get the message. I think we have far too many cops that have a personality disorder to where they love dishing out orders and commands to people. That is how they get their jollies. They want to play like the cops on TV, that's why they engage in these high speed chases and are itching to use lethal force.

If we actually had oath takers instead of majority oath breakers, I would feel a lot better.

And with what happened today with Biden's executive actions, this is a cops dream. These cops will willingly enforce a damn Red Flag law. All these cops need is an anonymous tip or some other weak sauce and that would be enough for these oath breakers to start kicking down doors and manhandling folk.

Serious question Ras, do you know many cops personally? I like your takes on plenty of things, but we obviously highly disagree on a lot in this thread. I don't (and hope) think cops in the south would do this. I think many would turn in their badge or just outright refuse.

If some judge or some family member (pretend an ex-wife or disgruntled girlfriend) came to a cop and said that Tommy or Billy Joe or Jamal is not mentally fit to have guns around her or her kids, these cops would most definitely power up and remove those guns from that guy without due process. These cops already have disdain for the 4th and 5th Amendments already, but you give them the power to abuse those rights in order to infringe on the 2nd Amendment and you have a recipe for Southern tyranny.

I would say a good damn majority (>75%) would engage in some gun grabbing.

I call BS, because if that is the attitude most of them have, they would be so willing to post up on I-40 westbound outside of Dickson looking to poach and pocket harvest. These guys are not going to quit their jobs over a law that is unconstitutional. Are you kidding me?
