There were a record number of upsets this year. Believe it was pretty entertaining overall. Unfortunately early upsets lead to boring sweet sixteen and elite 8 games but we had some good ones in there too (ARK/ORU comes to mind)
Upsets mean teams weren't seeded properly, that doesn't make it entertaining. Close games and stunning endings are what make it entertaining, not stupid committees incapable of seeding properly and/or not enough good teams. Probably record number of blowouts this year too.

I still found it entertaining. Several small schools made some noise, and I’ve always been a fan of David, both Biblically and in sports.

March madness has been awful as a whole this year. Heck the game right before that one was yet another blowout. But that game just might make up for all the crappy ones, tight the whole way and amazing ending!
There were some blowouts, sure, but there are every year. It was far from awful. Huge number of upsets in the early rounds and some teams like UCLA and Oregon State made deep runs, as 11 seeds. Honestly not sure why you would think it was awful. The very best part was that Kentucky did not even get a participation trophy.

Come on. That is not what upsets mean. It means there are plenty of good teams who can beat anyone on a given night.
