President Joe Biden - Kamala Harris Administration

I had that same thought yesterday. Won’t be long before Biden starts spending taxpayers’ money to “tear down that wall” and he will crow about it too.

EDIT: “it’s not who we are”

I don't put much stock in those polls. As a Trump guy, I'd be surprised if you did.
As a Trump guy? Lol ok

My point is your point. They all appear to have some kind of bias.

Interesting are you making the same reply to sister evil and her poll or just the one I posted?

Because he clearly values those polls. I responded to you because I figured you didn't.

Point on the doll where EL touched you 🤡

I love the polls EL likes to post. Less than 2000 people were polled. And I am super cereal that those were completely random. EL is trying so hard to make his creepy pedo in charge is somehow doing good. Lol.

We talked briefly about this in the other thread, but Amtrak is a "government run" service that could actually be profitable if they did it right. Running high speed, no stop service straight to major airports from a lot of the "feeder" cities (OKC to DFW or Colorado Springs to DIA for example) could actually be a counter to airline prices. Or put in a partnership with airlines to do such a thing.

But... probably not going to do it right.

I saw a high approval rating for expanding Amtrak, but the surveys never include projected fares. For example, high speed rail linking Chattanooga to Atlanta has come up many times over the years. I'd bet people are thinking something like a $25 fare for a one-way 90 mile ride, but I'd bet the rate if it ever came to be would be more like $75-100 (if it happened very soon). It's always easy to sucker people when you leave out the costs. The selling point is actually parking, but there are scores of hotels near the Atlanta airport where you can park free for a week or so if you spend a night ... and they have airport shuttles.

Big excitement here locally about how great it is to have Amtrak in town.

Outside of the occasional sale, a trip from Roanoke to DC is ~$150 in fares, plus the trip is usually an hour and a half (or more) longer than just driving.
