Maurer has had his best spring and staff likes him (i still think Hooker starts), they really like the two young RBs, Eason is making a name for himself, Jimmy Holiday has impressed, alontae has CB1 locked down, CB2 is most open position, our special teams specifically return game will be much more aggressive, banks has been a little banged up as has Hyatt, NCAA ruling shouldn’t be bad.. we’re pushing scholarship reductions since we’re under the limit anyway... trying to see who all if anyone leaves post spring to submit a formal number to NCAA 12-15 would be my guess which really don’t matter Bc we’re lower than the limit anyway, White absolutely wants a bowl game this year and making that known to NCAA.

I’m sure most of that has probably been covered but pre draft is the busiest time of the year for me. It’s brutal.
yes please

Thanks Hank.

I take hemp oil daily so I’m familiar with cbd oil. This was what i was questioning: “ Still can't believe this stuff is legal 🤭

Just meant surprised a THC product is legal. Sitting on the shelves all regular like a pack of cigarettes or cbd product would be.

Then again, it wasn't that long ago cbd wasn't either...shoot freakin hemp was illegal lmao.

I’ve previously posted that the apparent problem with our defense last year according to the data was our pass defense. I’ve spent some time digging deeper into the data to see if I could figure out more specifically what the problem was. jmo.

According to Football Outsiders we had the 2nd best defensive line in the conference last year and owing to personnel losses at Georgia, who was the only team better than us, we could have the best DL in the conference this year. jmo.

Using a combination of data sources and analysis this is what I’ve come up with. We were very efficient against the run, moreso on passing downs, but still one of the best on standard downs. jmo.

It looks to me like we were hugely better against the pass on passing downs than we were on standard downs. Our inability to consistently defend the pass on standard downs appears to be what torpedoed our pass defense overall. Sorry - I don't yet have a chart for this. jmo.

Why is this important? My theory is that it may not have been our secondary personnel that was causing us problems in the back end last year. My theory is that it was likely the play-caller that was putting us in a vulnerable position vs the pass on standard downs. I suspect opposing offenses figured out early on that Pruitt was often loading the box on standard downs to try to help out our overrated linebackers against the run and this came at the expense of our secondary guys. jmo.

Addition by subtraction: Subtract 1 Jeremy Pruitt, Add 3.5 additional wins. jmo.

But it’s not all on Pruitt. Our scoring defense ranked 7th in the conference last year but if you take out Guarantano scoring for the other team our true scoring defense moves up to 4th best in the conference, behind UGA, A&M, and UA. jmo.

Addition by Subtraction: Subtract 1 Jarrett Guarantano, Add 2.5 additional wins. jmo.

It's really just simple math. I figure if Tim Banks knows what Asparagus is we could potentially have a top 25 defense this year. jmo.

You lost me at 'special teams+return game'. Save everyone time and stop the wind sprints for the backups. Just give everyone the ball at the 25 on kickoffs and make it a 35 yard flip of field position on punts. Just need a guy to kick extra points and FG. The rest of the "special teams" is a waste of time with the way they're set up now. The days of seeing special teams being of importance are long, long gone.

JMO? I'm with you. This team is going to surprise some folks. This coaching staff will get some pelts.

GBO!

Incorrect.

same posters with the same blind hope, they've never been right before. doubt it starts now. I don't blame the chancellor. Once she knew about the cheating she had no choice but to make it public and fire Pruitt. Can't blame CJH too much. He was trending down and was never going to measure up to what Scott Frost did. He very well may have been fired from UCF at the end of this season without massive improvement and coming here got him more money and a chance to hit the reset button. Whoever came up with the D.White hire is the one who needs to take the blame. Who's idea was that?

Danny white is the best hire we made..... stay out of the way and let the man work.

yeah. we paid UCF how many millions and somehow they wound up with the better head coach? not impressed. he was cocksure when he walked in the door but looked like a scalded dog after JF and TE turned down the job. Face it, his plan failed and now we are living out the emergency backup option.
