Where are Henry T and Crouch today off that great 3-7 team/season? Yeah, there's that...
They left because our program is a runaway train of incompetence.

Doesn't mean we shouldn't get back on the saddle and go get more good players. Even if it means those players are good enough to have other, better options.

Your attractive girlfriend just broke up with you, so you start dating a 300 lb whale with no teeth, just to protect your fragile psyche because you know they aren't going anywhere. That's your attitude. And you are convincing yourself it doesn't stem from just straight butthurt.

Good players aren't going to hang around a toxic ass place full of losers if they have better options. Sorry. The solution to that isn't to avoid the players. The solution is to stop being a toxic program full of losers.

And before you go there this isn't some diatribe on Will Allbright. I'm sure if you told him a year ago that he would be taking meaningful practice reps at LB, he would tell you something went terribly wrong too. It is just common sense.

I don't know, that appears to be an old clip with all his references to Coach Pruitt. It would be cool if he stayed though and this staff helps him get to the next level.
I believe that was a feature on him during one of the UT coach's shows. After the Mizzou gam was when it was aired. It's on her personal YouTube account so it could mean a couple different things.
1. She's working on a personal highlight reel.
2. Could be a re-upload due to an editing error
3. The coaches could be using it in some way to sway Crouch back.
I looked on the TN athletics YouTube page and couldn't find this interview.

8-4. Personally not panicking over LBs right now. Suspended players plus Banks will return, may pick up a transfer or two. Crouch seems to only have one foot out the door. Spring Ball is Spring Ball. Players miss for a number of reasons.

I am thinking they are going to pick up a couple of LB's in the portal and maybe a DE.

LB is a concern because of unproven pieces, but when Willis and French return we will have depth. Not proven depth, but depth nonetheless. You'll have Banks, Beasley, Joseph, Willis, French, and I believe Whitehead before Spring is over. They'll also most likely snag one in the portal who has experience. It won't be that bad. No one as good as Henry, but nothing we can do about that. He quit on his team

Nothing about my post said Allbright was the answer. It said simply to not to go snark on him for trying at the coaches request since he was a good HS LB. At least he is hanging with his commitment to being a Vol and giving his all to Tennessee. That doesn't say anything about getting better players now or in the future, which they undoubtedly will. Meanwhile, T and Crouch bolted on their own from their teammates and school that had invested a lot into them. It's a two way street. T benefitted from having Bituli beside him for his first season. We saw in his second season what he could do without Bituli. So now when it gets tough he leaves. Have no idea where your story came from or is going. That's just weird. Plenty of good players are hanging around to make this "toxic program" a better program.

Nick Reviez ring a bell? Scout team to Mike starter during another "toxic" period. Nobody knows if Allbright could be another unless they let him try. At worst case he just stays a LS.

I was just thinking about something QB wise, but Maruer was offered by JH coming out of HS. JH probably has an idea of what he can do, and obviously likes him if he recruited him. Thinking about it this way, I wouldnt be surprised to see BM win the job this spring.

I just wanna say that I really admire Heupel for willingly taking on this job. I doubt he’ll do any better than any of the other coaches we’ve hired since Fulmer, but I admire the gumption. Takes some self-confidence to think the Tennessee HC position will end in anything other than ignominy.

One thing we have with him that we didn't with other hires is IDENTITY. We know from Day 1 what he hangs his hat on, and it makes it easier for us to gauge his success off that.
