Wow. That’s means 47% aren’t in school. Wow that’s crushing it. 100 % of the illegal immigrant kids are getting face to face teaching. But 47% of American are having to use Zoom teaching. That POS Biden again says Americans last, they’re not as important as the illegals. GO TO HE// joe and take all your stupid ignorant liberals with you.

Several years ago my neighbor and I were in the driveway talking when one came cruising down the street about 20 ft off the ground. Those things are huge; we more or less decided it was actually a bald eagle, but I could just as easily decide we were both hallucinating it was so rare - I've seen hawks around, but nothing like an eagle before.

The other one that will get your attention is one of the huge woodpeckers that looks like a terradactyl when it flies by. The ones that go bang - bang - bang rather than almost a buzz when they find a target. This one picked a big oak stump across the street.

I had one of those woodpeckers in my yard years ago. It was so big it looked cartoonish. If I had to guess it was 18" tall, not like little Woody
I was on my deck one time swatting carpenter bees with a tennis racket and something caught the corner of my eye and I turned and SQUAT..direct hit. It was a dragonfly that was like 5". The dang thing had a face!

Took me a sec, but I went through my Pete stuff and found this from Pete's infrastructure proposal January 2020:

He will require his DOT to propose a new and sustainable user fee-based system, such as a vehicle-miles-traveled fee with appropriate privacy protections that is already being piloted by states and can potentially replace the gas tax. Within such a system, discounted rates can be offered on a sliding scale based on income.

Not a straightforward answer, I know. And the VMT issue honestly never came up during campaigning for me. I would believe the "appropriate privacy protections" bit means no tracking or electronic monitoring, but self-reporting mileage. I can't say for sure that is what Pete meant, just my opinion of what Pete would support after input from individual state DOTs.

Anyways, all of our discussion about this is moot. No VMT or gas tax raise will accompany the infrastructure package being released tomorrow by POTUS.

When a politician is short on any means to implement a random idea, it means he doesn't have a damn clue what he's talking about; it won't work, and will cost more than what's currently going on. The smartest thing to do if the concept is really self reported mileage would be to leave things as they are for vehicles using gas with sales tax from a pump, and try out the new concept on electric or other fueled vehicles. Then if your nutcases really think gas is going away in the near future, you cover the issue incrementally. It's always easier to recover from a smaller than a bigger screwup - not that a politician and general flunky would understand.

Hard to take you seriously when you just called for the death of a politician and his wife you don't like over an incident with a dog. But I'm sure you were just joking. Right?

Anyways, none of this matters. No VMT or gas tax hike per Biden Admin.
