'22 TN RB Jordan James (Oregon commit)

Absolute garbage argument. Saban was at Toldeo, Michigan State, and a mediocre at best LSU.

Smart walked into a winning program and hasn't really elevated it. He has almost exactly the same record as Mark Richt at this point.
You could argue Kirby is worse, given that Richt won the SEC twice in his first 5 years, whereas Kirby has won it only once in the same time frame.

If Richt had continued to perform the way he did his first 5 years, he likely never would have been fired though either.

Richt was a decent HC, and a very good man but he was a bit soft and held on to Willie Martinez much too long, which may have cost him a NC. If you listen to Kirby in pressers, he's a very bright guy and is poised and well spoken, and thinks quickly on his feet. I don't believe that Richt had quite the IQ and the drive that Kirby has. Kirby's more cut out to be a HC and Richt was more cut out to be an OC.

And you know this how?
your loses are coaching losses not talent losses. He is your almighty coach is he not. No where else to fall on but him. Especially the fake punt against Bama. That was a good call but maybe he did not make that call? Maybe Ga Ray called it for him or maybe he did like Henry Winkler did in Waterboy looked over at Daddy Nick and panicked. He will get talent and yes 9, 10 or 11 wins but do not count on rings.
