Seen him play many times. I could walk to his high school stadium from my office. I’m not saying he can’t move a little when needed, but it’s not the same letting hooker come in to run when you’re in the red zone.
That is giving away the scheme. Put both in from the 30 on in...no DC would expect it.

Oh, that’s absolutely awful. How far out are you from the transplant now? Hope that you don’t mind me asking...
4 years in June. I went through a lot of complications after my transplant. Heart problems, kidney problems, the C Diff, unexplained anemia, had a splenic aneurysm they had to fix. I got put back in the hospital a few times. I remember going to the heart doctor for a test and they wanted me to immediately go over to the ER to get admitted for heart failure. I also remember being given a shot for my anemia to try and jumpstart white cell production. It caused my bones to hurt so bad I couldn't stop vomiting. They had to put me in the hospital for that too, and give me pain meds. Then there was like the weekly trip, sometimes more, to get a blood transfusion. That normally just meant 4-5 hours of laying in a hospital bed to get blood. Took forever because they type and match every time. Of course, the coup de grace was breaking my back 5 months after the transplant, about a month after they'd finally let me come home to Knoxville.

Dang dude. That’s one heckuva journey. Really glad that you are still with us!

HT would work well within the OSU system. But let's not kid ourselves. He did not come to the dumpster fire at UT to win championships. If he did he does not have the intelligence to play at a high level.

Pruitt had the resume to sell that hope for a while. People believed he had the ability to Phoenix this program from the ash pile, and players thought he was their ticket to the next level.

Henry T has not built a relationship with this staff. He spent the least amount of time possible in Knoxville when he came to campus to take his exam and was not involved in team activities. He would rather be elsewhere.

Sounds like a drama queen, Legend in his own mind type kid. With that attitude he will struggle no matter what his future is.

I think it's healthy that we all may see things a bit different from each other from time to time. jmo.

I went back and watched the snaps that Bailey had against Florida and focused on the sacks. It looked to me like Florida was bringing a fire zone blitz (5+ guys) and they were getting to Bailey in under 2 seconds. Sometimes he’d be able to get the ball out, sometimes he’d get sacked. I think our offensive line and running backs will be able to provide better protection this year (addition by subtraction). jmo.

Something else where I sometimes wonder what people are talking about is when I hear Kentucky blew us out in 2020. Oh really? Their freaking best player was Guarantano. He had more touchdown passes to them than Terry Wilson. Our defense gave up 20 points to Kentucky. I don’t call that a blowout. (Again, addition by subtraction). jmo.

I’m pretty sure if you asked Malachi Wideman who should be our QB this year he’s likely going to say Harrison Bailey. Wideman only had one reception on the year, a 24 yard gainer from Bailey in the waning moments of the Kentucky game. He actually targeted Wideman 3 times on that last drive we had. I’m pretty sure no other QB on our roster last year showed any love whatsoever toward Malachi. jmo. I'm not being serious about that but I did want to point out that Wideman did get on the field last year. In looking at the receiver drills in one of the practice videos last week I couldn't find him so I'm assuming he's one of the guys we have starting off this spring dealing with quarantine. jmo.

The 3rd interception we threw against the wildcats came off of the arm of Shrout. He gave Kentucky the ball on our 37 yard line. The defense held them to a FG. I’m including the FG in the 20 points the defense gave up but we can argue that if anyone wants. jmo.

I suspect our offensive line will be better this year than the one we had last year and I attribute that specifically to older veteran guys leaving and creating the opportunity for new leadership in the group. I think we almost certainly have an upgrade in the coaching staff on that side of the ball. jmo.
I took my son, who had just turned 6, to his first game in Neyland against KY last year. Not a good first impression.

Definitely soured on him 100%. Even if he wanted to come back, that attitude needs to be removed from the program.

..Other than that!

Keon coming back would be big for him. If he works on his shooting and can hit the 3 ball next year he could jump into the top 3 of the draft. Coming back could get him another 10mil+

He has a tough decision to make. I’m not sure he can make much more if he is already a project top 10 pick. At least not enough to risk if money is his top priority.

He needs to decide what is best for his long term interest. Take the money now because they want to pay you for your potential even though your game is not ready offensively. Go to a place and risk a pro team not having patience with you developing after 2-3 yrs but your paid and set for life. How does some of these tournament runs for for players affect his draft position?

Come back refine your game more to be ready to make an impact in NBA more when you enter league. He would benefit more than Springer for another year with Barnes. Chandler and Keon would be a nice connection. Keon would need to get assurances from Barnes that things will open up more and lessen the clogged lanes he was seeing all year. The money would still be there but so is the injury risk for an explosive athlete.

I would understand his decision either way. I think he should come back to be more ready with one more year of refinement. He missed most of his senior yr then a weird freshman yr thanks to covid hurt his off-season development. I think he could really be special as a sophomore.

I think the best thing for him would be to look at previous projected top ten picks who came back, and see what happened to them. If I remember correctly there was one last year who was project top 10 and became a top 3 pick. I could be wrong though

Heres the numbers I was looking at. Technically their contract is 4 years but only 2 are guaranteed. Around 9-10 which is where most mocks have him the last I looked he would get 9.1 or 8.7. If he came back and jumped top 3 where I think he can if he shoots consistently with his athleticism 3 gets 16 mil. Imo thats enough money for one more year.

VN Parent Rule No. 1: Always let your kids first game be a sure win out of conference game. Preferably at night.

My sons first game was 2004 Vols versus UNLV. We wore throwback jerseys and he was hooked

I took mine to the Charlotte game in 2018. I was a little worried because the second half of that game was boring. But he asked if we could come back as we were walking out. Then, we made it to the Mississippi State game in 2019.
