Hey, Jackcrevol here.

Question, what all types of things are you hearing down there? Ya know, in Grapevine? 😬🤓

Well, Texas wineries are telling us how good their wines are... kinda okay, but definitely not wow level...

Texas Governor is not nearly as smart as he thinks he is...

New proposed tax laws are scary. No reductions for anyone, lots of increased tax rates...

I think it's healthy that we all may see things a bit different from each other from time to time. jmo.

I went back and watched the snaps that Bailey had against Florida and focused on the sacks. It looked to me like Florida was bringing a fire zone blitz (5+ guys) and they were getting to Bailey in under 2 seconds. Sometimes he’d be able to get the ball out, sometimes he’d get sacked. I think our offensive line and running backs will be able to provide better protection this year (addition by subtraction). jmo.

Something else where I sometimes wonder what people are talking about is when I hear Kentucky blew us out in 2020. Oh really? Their freaking best player was Guarantano. He had more touchdown passes to them than Terry Wilson. Our defense gave up 20 points to Kentucky. I don’t call that a blowout. (Again, addition by subtraction). jmo.

I’m pretty sure if you asked Malachi Wideman who should be our QB this year he’s likely going to say Harrison Bailey. Wideman only had one reception on the year, a 24 yard gainer from Bailey in the waning moments of the Kentucky game. He actually targeted Wideman 3 times on that last drive we had. I’m pretty sure no other QB on our roster last year showed any love whatsoever toward Malachi. jmo. I'm not being serious about that but I did want to point out that Wideman did get on the field last year. In looking at the receiver drills in one of the practice videos last week I couldn't find him so I'm assuming he's one of the guys we have starting off this spring dealing with quarantine. jmo.

The 3rd interception we threw against the wildcats came off of the arm of Shrout. He gave Kentucky the ball on our 37 yard line. The defense held them to a FG. I’m including the FG in the 20 points the defense gave up but we can argue that if anyone wants. jmo.

I suspect our offensive line will be better this year than the one we had last year and I attribute that specifically to older veteran guys leaving and creating the opportunity for new leadership in the group. I think we almost certainly have an upgrade in the coaching staff on that side of the ball. jmo.

I get where you’re coming from with Oline, but it’s hard to imagine losing Trey Smith and the only two guys on the team that are close to being left tackles and improving. That would be a masterful coaching job.

I mean I agree. However, who is to say he isn’t? Also, who is to say he even knew what was going to go down that night?

Everyone is assuming. What if he was just out with the guys and one of them was like hey I need to meet my guy real quick and then this happened?

It’s hard to put everything on a person when you don’t actually know all the details. Just saying.
Wait. What happened? I’ve been away for a bit. Did he have an off the field incident?
