I've got mixed feelings on this. I think originally, you would see a huge amount of civil disobedience. But, if they know that a person has a firearm (thanks to these background checks, they have a digital record of you at least making a gun purchase), then they may just "sanction" you. Meaning, they will raid your bank accounts, maybe force you to lose your job, or some other measure that wouldn't require them to have to physically knock on your door. Especially if you see us move to a cashless society, that makes it even easier.

Yeah, the COVID stuff really opened my eyes. I was already a cynic and pessimist, but these people made me have an even lower outlook on humanity.

LEO is only loyal to the people signing their checks. If the govt tells LEO to grab guns, they are going to follow orders.

If you think I am a liar, lets see how these LEO's behave when these proposed govt inheritance or property taxes start forcing these farmers underwater... lets see if they force these people off their land.

Supposedly, (it's the law anyway) the .gov is not allowed to keep the records of the BGCs no longer than 30 days, might be 10 days. I'll have to double check.

There was a voluntary buy back in Florida recently. They went through $10,000 in 30 minutes buying mostly BB guns. Some dude tried to pass some home made plywood gun but I don’t think they took it, or didn’t give him anything for it rather. They also couldn’t do anything to him because they offered complete amnesty to the ones bringing guns in.
