You’re on a roll of stupid today.
Political Capital...priceless.That's not how construction works.
You signed a contract for 20k. You then pay 2k to put a pause on it. You are still on the hook for 20k. Plus the 2k that you pay out indefinitely.
And then you will pay another 2k to start it back up, plus damages, and probably an escalation fee for increased cost. Some scope change because of fixes to the incomplete work from before. A redesign because of wanted improvements over the 4 years.
So in the end you will pay out at least 40 or 50k for a 20k contract. The wall builders love this. Anyone looking to make money for not working needs to be a private contractor for the Fed. It's great.
@hog88 can probably fill in a few more fees this will cost the US taxpayer for your 2k pause I forgot.
President Joe Biden’s breathing was audible between almost every line from a speech delivered with his mask on Tuesday at Ohio State University.
The microphone at the podium picked up Biden’s breath noises while speaking about the importance of fighting the coronavirus and beating cancer.
After taking the podium, Biden looked out at University officials and asked them if he was expected to keep his mask on.
“I guess I’m supposed to keep this on, correct?” he asked, before continuing.

Beschloss said the parallels include the New Deal economic relief that Franklin Roosevelt brought in 1933, which saved the country from the Depression and chaos.

This quote:
"Presidential historian Michael Beschloss told Axios FDR and LBJ may turn out to be the past century's closest analogues for the Biden era, "in terms of transforming the country in important ways in a short time."
Beschloss said the parallels include the New Deal economic relief that Franklin Roosevelt brought in 1933, which saved the country from the Depression and chaos.
And Biden is on track to leave the country in a different place, as Lyndon Johnson did with his Great Society programs.
