Late to the discussion but my 1st car was a '68 Mercury Montego that I boughtt from my uncle for $150. Engine ran good but it had more bondo in the body than metal! Didn't drive it too long then acquired a '76 Plymouth RoadRunner, the long version. That car had a road runner hood ornament and sounded just like him in the cartoons when I honked the horn. It was a sweet ride back in the day

I saw an elderly lady and I mean late 70's about 40 years ago driving a Orange Plymouth Superbird, 426 Hemi and it looked like it just came off the show room floor. It was one of those things where you could tell it was her "BABY" and she knew how to drive it as well.
