I’m not going there. The Durant argument is dumb because people have no clue about that roster. The next year everyone returned BUT Durant, and Barnes made an Elite Eight.

I don’t care about Bruce because that ship has sailed. We don’t have a great tournament history at UT, and Barnes was a good hire. I agree that it’s better where we were because we’ve cycled through the coaches.

You don’t win 700+ games and not be a good coach. That’s assinine. Argue his tournament record all you want, but Barnes is a good coach.

Very disappointed obviously but if you're honest with yourself you could see this coming from a mile away. We've not really been clicking since mid January.

If you look at the team, we have no knock down three point shooters. We have no dominate bigs. We have no.true point guard. We have a bunch of really athletic wings players that we have counted on to score. The freshman have been our go to players and their games consist of driving to the basket against 3-4 players and trying to score. It's been really easy to guard us since mid season.

You have to hope that Chandler is the guy next yr that takes control when you need a play. I think he probably can just hate to to hope a freshman is your go to guy. Him running point gives me hope.

It allows Vescovi to play off ball as a SG.

Got to go get a transfer that can shoot the 3. Marcus Carr entered portal and is a scorer we could use.

No clue what we do down low but need something

Such a doomsday scenario.

His career suggests it will not go down hill. It suggests he’ll consistently win 20+ games. Now, it also suggests he won’t win anything big and I agree with that. But he’ll keep winning.

I'm faster than Vescovi. Need an agile big man that can defend and shoot, and a PG who can break it down.

Not sure it is a horrible take. I realize what we are. Contend for SECC once in a while. Gotta recruit smarter and harder. Fire Barnes, we may be back to Houston or Peterson era.

No thanks.

I'm not even banking on BHH coming in, if he does though we'll be competitive as hell.

Talks of Kessler potentially transferring here as well, it'll be interesting to see who stays and who leaves. Really wondering if Walker seeing no minutes this year was more about getting him healthy or more about him not being a good fit. He could be special, we just don't know yet. The good news is we'll have some guys entering their 3rd year with us and hopefully will be more comfortable in their roles on the team.

Vols just never get a break in anything. We assemble a lot of talent in football and basketball and end up with team chemistry issues or bad coaching or injuries or missing some key piece somewhere. Meanwhile other teams just randomly stumble upon stacked rosters and make deep runs from time to time. But we just keep getting middling results over and over. Frustrating.
