I don’t understand why the first 4 aren’t all 16 seeds. Why have 11 seeds play in a play in game?

I think it should be opposite. The 16 seeds earned an auto bid and should be guaranteed a game in the real thing. The 11 seeds were the bubble teams and should be forced to play their way in.

I also think UT will win this game, but Oregon State had an automatic bid. They actually won their conference tournament. They absolutely should be in the NCAA tournament.

Yeah that is why they are in it but before that they wouldn’t have been is the point. We should have a solid advantage today. 2nd rd though not too confident

Agree with all but overreaction. This stuff is real. It has killed almost 600,000 people and those families who have been have suffered know the truth.

I have no problem proclaiming that I am a true Optimist.

I think that we can realistically win 10, while also only losing two close ones.

CJH is our smartest coach since Coach Cut. Can’t control my excitement and optimism about this football season.

Should be this way I agree. A team that wins their conference tourney shouldn’t have to be in the play-in game. Should be all of the last at-large bids that got in.

Thank you for all the work and brain cells. Personally, I believe you have nailed it.

Which, if all or even mostly true, makes the hiring of Coach Heup the best solution to our problem. It's dang near impossible to muscle your way into an already established and protected group of elites. However, you can shoot your way inside and blow it up with the right combination of players, coaches, development and schemes who have the will and swag to fight to the death in every single game. The later point of which was the Volunteer spirit until recent times. Most long term Vol fans know what I am talking about. We used to win some games that there was no way on paper or in Vegas that we should win.

Let's do this.

That was the MO of almost every game coached by Coach Johnny Majors. I called those teams the heart attacks kids. They would almost lose a game that they were supposed to win , but in an exciting fashion. Then win one that they were supposed to lose in the same exciting fashion. Then they would blow the doors off of a team that they shouldn’t be on the same field with.

Henry T and Crouch have been flip-flopping for months. Both have been talking to other schools. HT hasn't been around the team all year. Would be interesting to see how the other players respond if HT returns at the 11th hour, after being unwilling to join the team for winter workouts and teambuilding. Seems a little like what Butch allowed Hurd to do, which didn't work out so well. We'll see.

First, the University would have to clear his eligibility or it’s a non-issue. No chance to return if he’s ineligible anyway. That would only hurt the team more.

If I were the coaches, I would allow the players to determine his fate if he decided he wanted to come back. Let him present his case to the team. Let a team leader discuss what all he missed. Then a closed ballot vote. (So no one caves to peer pressure). Must have 75% player approval. I would almost want 100% approval from defensive players.

He is doing what a lot of the students are doing and taking all virtual classes.... I definitely wouldn’t be hard headed about it as a staff.... I agree that I wouldn’t bring him back if the team didn’t want him. My feelings, however, is that we need as many athletes as we can to make our rebuild easier. The program is in a better spot if HT is in our lineup this fall... I hold no grudges against any of the players that left or might leave.... The Univeristy of Tennessee caused this toxic environment with its piss poor job of making decisions regarding this program.
