It isn't any more real than pro Wrasslin at this point...competitive integrity is a f'n joke. We are paid to be jobbers...taking huge bumps to put 3-4 teams over.

Why? That's the standard right? Also follows the theme the coaching staff has been pushing in regards to the traditions/history of UT. What we have historically been, and where we need to get back to. The fact we've done it before, and will do it again. I don't see that as a negative.

Mixed use facilities will be a big thing for most new and or renovated stadiums. When you take the die hard tradition out of the equation there is really no up side to attending a game anymore. Driving to and from a game, parking, the elements, cost of a ticket, being searched to get in, crowds, restrooms, the drunk setting close to you and or the belligerent opposing fan screaming as you try and keep your young kids attention on the game really doesn't add up for most now days.

I have always been a one or two game a year kinda person and the way things have changed I might go to one every other year if I can get a cheap pair of tickets. I have been lucky enough to set in a few suites to pro games in the past and I can tell you this that suite thing is a nice way to go if you can afford it.......and I CAN'T. I do know once you have, the experience of wrestling with the masses tends to pale quite a bit.

And yet nothing on earth is like it when you are celebrating with 95,000 Vols singing Rocky Top...that high is something you can never get sitting on your couch being a cheapskate..

We have forgotten that to a degree lately because we haven't had consistent reasons to celebrate, or more specifically..we have been gutted way to many times when we have thought things were looking up.

That right there. There really isn't anything like it. It can be intoxicating to experience, just the sheer joy and sense of camaraderie with people you don't even know. In those moments, they might as well be extended family.

I miss that feeling.

I thought this was probably a 20-22 win, Sweet 16 team that could win a few more if everyone found their roles and fit well together..which they haven't..this team never gelled, and that is why they fell slightly below my expectations.

This team had easily identifiable holes, and it was going to take them gelling together well to kind of hide those holes.

They did gell a few times, which is why you get excited, because you know..you have seen what they could be, but at other times, way too many times...they looked like a pickup team that had never played together.

If the core of this group stayed together another year, with what we have coming in, I would be confident in predicting a 25-28 win E8 team..but thanks to one and done(nothings) we will be a discombobulated mess next year.
