I'd put us on par with Ole Miss as a whole in athletics I think. With much better fans of course
I’d honestly say we will prob recruit about the same as Ole Miss has the last few years.

They have a good QB, we have a potentially good QB.

They have an elite WR in Moore, we have Hyatt. I see the similarities

Let’s hope we can develop. Only way is up.

Daggum Master Teague has got huge in the weight room.

He’s always been crazy strong. I remember Blackman always had a Max out night in the gym for families. Teague was squatting like 500 in HS. He was power cleaning 340 as a Sophomore or Junior.

He has definitely put on a ton of muscle. He’s a great kid. Always rooting for him.

This is true. Upgrading seating options, adding chairbacks, premium seating, indoor/outdoor and mixed-use areas are all things UT continues to explore. Some people were against reducing capacity to accommodate value-added options, but the holdouts are dwindling. The South endzone could be completely revamped. TV money is already earmarked for renos, so it doesn't have to be donor-driven or self-funding.

Mixed use facilities will be a big thing for most new and or renovated stadiums. When you take the die hard tradition out of the equation there is really no up side to attending a game anymore. Driving to and from a game, parking, the elements, cost of a ticket, being searched to get in, crowds, restrooms, the drunk setting close to you and or the belligerent opposing fan screaming as you try and keep your young kids attention on the game really doesn't add up for most now days.

I have always been a one or two game a year kinda person and the way things have changed I might go to one every other year if I can get a cheap pair of tickets. I have been lucky enough to set in a few suites to pro games in the past and I can tell you this that suite thing is a nice way to go if you can afford it.......and I CAN'T. I do know once you have, the experience of wrestling with the masses tends to pale quite a bit.

I was wondering why everyone is so bent out of shape over recruits committing to various schools and passing on the Vols at this early stage. I know that the recruit signing periods have changed but isn't the first signing period in Dec. I want us to get the top kids as well but don't these kids have another year of high school ball left or am I missing something........asking for a friend......the other guy that I hear sometimes.

Yeah lots of similarities between the two football programs from a recruiting and overall scheme standpoint. Ole Miss is a year ahead of us I think if they looks good this year that may bode well for us next year

Drew Brees retired

Saints need to be getting a QB
I saw his kid throw the football with Brady after they played.....are we recruiting them yet? We should be.....building relationships and giving likes on twitter !!!! That seems to be what it takes.

Is a Jumbo Shrimp and a Petite Giant the same size ? Anyone care for a Skittle ? Oh well, back to my corner now .
Why do we drive on a parkway and park in a driveway?

Forget the average fan mattering all that much. It's about the income. They need and will go multi-purpose more with Neyland IMO. Can't depend on the football program providing what the university needs revenue wise to shore up all of the non-revenue sports. That's why the baseball Vols going to the planned new Smokies park makes so much sense. LN is landlocked and cannot be improved enough to help it become revenue positive.

Been saying Neyland should be no more than 80 K seating for 20 years. Chair backs and reasonable leg room for all. Take the pressure off adding more concession areas, restrooms, and parking. Pop the price up a bit and fill the stadium. Season ticket holders will pay it while single game tickets will be easier to sell with less of them. Making the ticket harder to get with the team winning increases the ability to increase pricing and gain more donations. The average fans can only pay for occasional single game tickets now, especially when travel and over night lodging are involved. Too easy to stay home in the easy chair and watch it.

Vandy has the moral high ground in these situations, therefore they are higher.

Pruitt and Phil screwed us over HARD. It’s gonna take awhile to dig out.
