I've said for a long time that it was stupid to protect officials. We can criticize coaches and players but protect the officials? I agree., call.them.out, make fools of fools. If they don't like it, be better at your job. Barnes would never pay a penny. Fans would step up and take care of those fines.

And it’s paying off in spades. The SEC loves us and always gives us the benefit of the doubt!

This team today did not underperform. The expectations we have in basketball are BECAUSE of Rick Barnes, not in spite of him. People have to get that through their brain. We were an awful program that he took on. He is 8-6 against UK and has beaten them every year, even with below average teams. He just signed his 4th 5 Star with more to come.

Barnes may have risen expectations, but has little to show for it. Grant and Admiral team didn’t win anything, this years team underperformed. Beating UK is nice, but a title would be welcome.

Football program is as bad as its ever been.

I've said it for a while (I know it will never happen), we need to get out of the SEC. We get screwed every which way. We have a lot of clout and we should throw it around a little bit. I would check with other conferences. It will leak back. They don't want to lose us.

Why do Tenn teams almost always underperform?

I think as fans we need perspective. We are significantly outperforming our basketball history in the Rick Barnes era.

I love having a shot to win the SEC tourney every year; to make the NCAA tourney; to watch lottery picks running around on the court - been fun! (Much more than I can say for football)

We're the weakest Big 6 program and have been for a while. Unfortunately, we've brought most of it on ourselves with our revolving door leadership.

Gaines blew it. No question. Had to make one. Couldn’t do it. Soft society doesn’t want anyone’s feelings hurt.

Nah screw Barnes for putting him in the game. I was a great free throw shooter during JV games when I played every minute as a sophomore. Dumbass varsity coach figured that meant he could put me in the final minute of the varsity game and have me make free throws. Went 1 for 2 almost every time. I was an 80+% free throw shooter, but don’t ask me to go make free throws in the final minute when I’ve been sitting on the bench for 39 and ice cold. Gaines wasn’t supposed to have the ball there. Doesn’t matter. He should’ve never been in the game.
