AJ Artis must have taken the key to the weight room with him when he left.
Come on man! When this team is down 1 score in the 4th they are going to look to their right and left and know “we can do this because this guy yelled directions at me while I was blindfolded!”

We will truly see how good they are when they start the SEC schedule. Not nearly enough relevant data yet.

I'm concerned about starting pitching, we don't seem to have enough quality starters. I've seen more fielding and base running errors this year than previous Vitello teams and we haven't even played the good part of our schedule yet. Hopefully Rucker, Lipcius, and Gilbert get hot offensively, we will need it.

I think it will be a transition year, hopefully get some young guys developed for next year.

wait, you've never heard of embellishments?

My bad, @nicksjuzunk, Fair Acres gets all up in arms when I make jokes at expense of Kingsport TN. Lynn Garden, is a community in Kingsport. I stated literally that a Starbucks knife fight occured there, however, since Lynn Garden is home to daily knife fighting but, no Starbucks. Paragraph.

Let's assume, for purposes of the narrative, that, at least as it pertains to my Fictituous depiction of said events, that Starbucks is located in Lynn Garden Community. Aka stabbin' capital of the Southeast. End Paragraph.
Another one of your weak ass attempts

I doubt DW stayed out of the staff hires this time. In 12-36 months, after disappointing performance, we’ll hear about which coaches were forced on Heupel and how this time CJH will finally get to hire a hand picked staff. That will buy him some more time anyway. It’s all a big ruse.

While there was the report in the Palm Beach Post regarding Heupel being saddled with the DC holdover from the Frost era (Shannon), I guess he wasn't really the problem that everyone makes him out to be this year (2020). UCF had a 27-game winning streak with Shannon in charge of the defense and took down Auburn in a "National Championship Game". Shannon's success with the UCF defense stretched across the tenure of 2 head coaches. The problem in 2020 was UCF had something like 10 players opt out of the season presumably for Covid reasons, and some of those guys were key players on the defense that they had no comparable replacements for. I posted about that shortly after the Heupel hire and in looking at the table below I would find it difficult to claim that Shannon wasn't a good hire for UCF.

I think to have a relatively good team you probably need to be in at least the top 40 for both offensive and defensive efficiency. Missouri had a decent football team in 2018 the year Dooley took over for Heupel as the OC. Obviously, Josh had a lot to do with Lock's development but his last year, the one with Dooley, MO won 8 games, including beating both us and Florida. They lost to UK, SC, UGA, & UA in the regular season and lost to Oklahoma State in their bowl game. Still that was improvement they hadn't seen in some time. Dooley had a different offensive philosophy such that MO went from essentially last in the nation in Time of Possession to top 40. I imagine that was a significant benefit for the defense.

Given that Josh had the last 12 wins in the UCF 27-game winning streak I'm guessing it may not be that difficult after all for the defense to adjust to its offense's style of play. The last game of 2018 UCF lost to LSU by 8 points. They lost 3 games in 2019 by I think a combined 7 points. I'm reasonably confident that if he does that here we'll have widespread demands to get rid of him. Can you imagine not winning every game? Surely that can't be acceptable. The very definition of mediocrity if you ask me. jmo.

Actually they are combat boots from my Army time, but I may have had some white NB at that time as well. ;)
No one should ever knock NB. They are the only tennis shoe I have worn for the past 20 or so years. Didn't know much about them back then but my Ortho doctor told me to give them a try and he also stated at that time that NB was THE MOST recommended athletic shoe at that time. I have never looked back.

I think the fans will start questioning him if Georgia doesn’t win the SEC in the ‘21 season. Bama should be their only real threat so let’s see if they can get over that hump (I hope they don’t).
Florida will be a real threat until proven otherwise. No cakewalk for UGA out of the East.

Oh and Hype might just give them a really good scare 🤫

For those who were clamoring for Tom Herman, this stuff with the Eyes of Texas, boosters, racial tension, etc makes the decision to not hire him a good one.
This is not on Herman. He was backing his players with this issue. Sark is on record as saying his players will be on the field and singing The Eyes of Texas. Very influential boosters have sent emails and letters to the powers that be at Texas and said if the Eyes of Texas is eliminated, so will their considerable donations to the school. When boosters pull the kind of money they're talking about, bad things are gonna happen to the athletic department. If the agitators get their way, Texas will suffer greatly. This is gonna be interesting to watch unfold.

That's the only tennis shoe I will wear. Great quality, comfortable and affordable.

For once we get the great scheme, minus the jerk or cheesy car salesman attitude.

Thank you for the correction and better understanding of the matter. Either way, I’m glad we didn’t hire Herman 😂😂

I have hardly followed it, but I thought it was the players (or some portion) that didn't want to be out there while Eyes of Texas played. Isn't that what Herman was getting burnt for? Maybe I read it wrong.
