All of this talk about how horrible of a decision hiring Pruitt was has me thinking about coaches we missed out on. One name I don’t hear mentioned a ton is Kirby Smart. Wasn’t UT looking at him back before we hired Butch (and even offered him the job)? I wonder how this program would look now if we were able to get him here. Perhaps he ends up leaving us to coach at UGA in 2016 but by then he would have been here for three seasons so if we were competing for the East, maybe he decides to stay. Just some food for thought.

Article is totally misleading. He did not turn the job down. We offered the job to one candidate and one candidate only.

This. He was never close to being offered the job. He and White had some conversations, but Danny and admin went with someone with HC experience over the hot coordinator.

I think the fans will start questioning him if Georgia doesn’t win the SEC in the ‘21 season. Bama should be their only real threat so let’s see if they can get over that hump (I hope they don’t).

That was the ground rules for the search. I am pleased with the decision. We will find out in the near future if it works out as we hope. I believe it will.

The media for the most part loved the Pruitt hire, they don’t love the Heupel hire... I don’t think we should listen to the media anymore.

Never listen to the media-----they have an agenda and that's to figure out a way to make money. Feel good stuff doesn't make them money.
