You mean Cut carried him? If he was such a great coach then why couldn’t he get a job after UT fired him? I know for a fact he tried to get other jobs. It’s almost like other people not wearing orange tinted glasses knew he was trash.
Calling him a trash head coach is beyond ridiculous. It destroys any credibility you thought you might have had.

IDT they'll pass on a QB this class. They'll find one.
Don't mind it, but unless it's a really good one/very high ceiling kid in the rough, I see way less value in using a scholarship on one than most any other year. Getting 2 straight top-100 QBs both has both set us up for awhile and made it tougher to bring in a 3rd straight.

That said, I'm 100% on taking a QB every single cycle. The position is just too important to not use a spot on it, even if the kid's a longshot. As long as he has big potential. You could always find a Mahomes or a Trask or a Mayfield.

I am curious why you think he couldn’t get a job after we finally fired him?

I will hang up and listen.
He could have had several jobs and he didn’t take them . You are either a troll or to young to remember that era. If the latter is the case maybe you should do a little research before popping off.

It’s the trash part, not that he didn’t get a gig after here. I’m not a CPF apologist, but I’ll still respect that our last National Championship happened under his watch and more importantly, I got to see it. I won’t go much further than ETSU.

Special Teams coaching name to watch for...

Mike Ekeler who is currently at North Texas. He has bounced around as linebackers at Georgia, UNC and others. He and Heupel were off the field together at Oklahoma.
