I would like to see JH experiment with AT at Saftey. Maybe even consider Tank at LB to see what it looks like but you hurt DB depth
i'm not against that. he can play a more "natural" style at FS. problem is, who plays corner? and what does that do to overall depth there.....?

Especially in the 1st half last night. I think at one point he was 1-5 from the floor and had 5 turnovers. He turned in on in the 2nd though and started playing D. Bailey might give Springer a run for his money on best player right now. His shooting is carrying us through slumps in the game.
Keon is making mistakes, but i love his effort level. i think he helps provide some of that energy at times, even when he screws up, he kinda sets the tone a little bit.

i just wish pons would be more aggressive to the rim. not sure if it's a ball handling issue or what, but sometimes he just looks really unsure of what to do, other times he looks like superman going to the rim.

I am pretty sure before the UK game, we were 3rd in the SEC in 3 point defense. That hasn’t been this team’s problem. All about offense.
too many turnovers on that end, and not enough offensive boards.....(at least it feels like it on the rebounding side, i don't know the actual #'s) leading to easier opportunities for opponents. agreed.

Barnes over coaches on the offensive end. Doesn’t really let his players go out and make plays. That’s fine against the bad teams but when you play against teams like AU, Bama, LSU, Etc. they will almost always win.

This problem is compounded by the fact that we don’t have a go to scorer in the post
to me it comes down to transition opportunities as to when we want to run. i think on the half court sets, you have to be able to run an offense out of those if you're going to go deep in the post season. that's not to say we're awesome at it, and are gonna make a run...lol.

but i equate that to having a good run game. a run game and defense travels. a half court offense and defense does the same thing in basketball...kinda.

you still have to have the ability to "make big plays"....either way.

Well ladies and gentlemen, it's come time to bid you a fond farewell for the next year, headed to the sand box to work. The only thing I would ask is to keep my family in your prayers, keep you fingers crossed, and throw out a GBO for me until I return. Gonna miss the first world problems presented here!

Stay safe!

Will do, stay safe and thank you sir.

Make no mistake, I hope you're right...wish nothing but the best for the kid...and, hope like hell, he kills it this year.

However, 2 int's and 11 pass breakups, FOR A CAREER, won't get him there. Taylor also has over 100 tackles for his career. Compare that to Brandon Joseph, who was #10 on that list, who is just a sophomore...6 int's and over 40 tackles...in one season...in just 8 games. No comparison, and the gap will only widen the further I move up that list.

Taylor deleted the tweet, btw.

Moseley had 2 career pics and is playing in San Fran. If you are 6’ and can run you will get a shot in the league.

AT is 6’ and can run. The NFL just doesn’t care about college production.

Have I just missed why Wideman is not on the basketball team? Dude was stupid good in high school.

Honestly, I think he's waiting to see if Keon/Springer both leave after this season. If that happens he could benefit from switching after Spring practice to go full-time to the basketball team. We'd have the additional scholarship for basketball if Pons, Keon, Springer all leave or he may still count against the football team, not sure. I think this season he saw the guard depth and realized he would most likely see very limited court time with the season also being abbreviated. Next year though more opportunity should exist.

Technically Bailey could also leave, I think he's going to test the waters like Admiral did after his junior season and Bailey having already RS will have his degree most likely so less incentive (imo) to return if he gets a positive draft grade.

I 100% agree..I don't see it. If they were good enough to blow millions on right now, we would be beating the crap out of everybody.

Just not the way the NBA thinks. Patrick Williams was FSU's 6th man last year and averaged 9 points and 4 rebounds. He was selected 4th.

Many guys need 2-3 years to develop into consistent players, and the NBA can be the training ground for that, too where all they do is practice.

I am looking for some past issues of Football time in Tennessee magazine. I would like to have the complete set. I am looking for issues 1-5,7,8,10. TIA.

1 and done team with 3 5 stars
Still not a **** team dumb***...and 5* or not this team has big holes in the roster. The talent we have is not complimentary, or not consistently complimentary.

We need at least one dependable shooter, not a scorer, a shooter, and we need at least one good big man.
