Who wants to take a shot at the offense depth chart?

I believe that there are a lot of players on offense with high ceilings, most are inexperienced and unproven though. Just too many question marks for me to even make a guess at the starting line up, that will be decided in spring practice and fall camp.

I agree with your entire depth chart. Honestly looking at it on paper we are young & inexperienced but there is alot of talent. By my count thats 19 players with at least 4 star talent. Now if we can just coach them up to their potential we may have something.
Only thing I think will be different is Calbert may start on the oline, & I think BM will be qb2 or qb3.

Honestly....I think that doing a depth chart right now is pointless. And I don't say that insultingly, I say that because I am expecting this staff is going to hit the transfer market hard this summer, and our team may look different. With the loss of Brown, Gooch and Brooks, I am pretty certain we get those spots back, and we can use them on transfers, which will especially be helpful if the one time transfer rule ever passes.

I could see our staff going after a lot of transfers after the spring.

I believe we have some underrated talent across the board on the offensive side. A lot is going to depend upon line play and QBing. I believe both positions will be coached much better. With the scheme CJH runs, depth will be essential. I look for Small, Evans, Hyatt, and Velus Jones to really eat in this system.

My biggest concern is LT. Mays isn't a true Left Tackle. I hope Crawford can be that guy. Or maybe Perry will develop.

Sad that Johnson transferred as he is likely a starter. I’d say he had a connected at aTm and I think they lost most their line. Wright and Calbert may be your tackles. Or, the JUCO Heupel signed. They’ve got some legit players at guard.

Thats were I think Calbert starts. He is a 10yr SR and has played alot of ball for us. My guess is Calbert & Wright are the tackles, Cade & Carvin are the guards, Cooper is the center. Lampley, Spraggins, Locklear are next men up. Hopefully Crawford can be the swing tackle. If we can stay reasonably healthy everyone else should be focused on being quality depth.

Yeah I don’t know what Johnson was thinking, but he had a chance to star at LT in 2021 and make a ton of money.

I hope you’re right, but I don’t know if Carvin has the quick feet to play LT. We have a bunch of guys who are Guard/Tackle hybrids in Mays, Wright, and Calbert, but that doesn’t usually equate to the athleticism needed at LT. I think Perry has the size and athleticism to develop into that guy, but he’s so raw. Maybe Crawford is the LT they need for this offense though.

I’m bullish on Spraggins. I think he has to play. Maybe Carvin starts at Center.

Edit: Calbert, not Carvin re: the LT discussion.

yes, I expect to see V Jones get a lot a swing/short passes on WR screens and other quick passes so the line does not have to block as long.
I like these ''single-read'' concept plays Heupel designs as well, we will have athletes on the field that will beat 1 on 1 coverage or go up and make a play like Malachi Wideman. I see Hyatt putting up huge yards per catch numbers.
