If someone uses critical thinking, it’s not. Martin inherited a multiple 4 star roster. Martin went to the NCAAT 1 out of 3 years yet we should believe 20 wins is the goal? By the way, that comment comes from a mod who has always said it’s about NCAAT in basketball (yes, ironic). Martin’s one NCAAT team made the first four. He was then run out of town.

Rick Barnes inherited a mess. He has two 25 win seasons with one 30 win season (I thought that was the barometer?). He has a co-title for the regular season and been to the NCAAT twice.

Basically, people have their ends and just find **** to make up the means.

College BB is a tournament sport. Who cares how many games you win during the regular season when your teams flame out in the tourney?

Keep up with the discussion. Follow along because a very well known poster tried to say that Barnes followed two straight 20 win seasons before Tyndall.

Then by all means, let’s hire a coach that’s had success in March.

Let’s see if we can Coach K, Roy Williams, Calipari, to come here.

Don’t want any of those guys. I want a freaking coach that shows he can make adjustments and adapt to his talent and manage his roster so he doesn’t have a bunch of dead wood sitting on the bench tha will never contribute any meaningful minutes. Barnes hars failed at all of the above and is making $5M . Do you really feel we are getting our moneys worth?

But you just said regular season doesn’t matter? CB is a tournament sport.

That means we’d have to hire a coach that’s had success in March.

No, it means we need to hire a coach that proves he can be successful in March. There are dozens of coaches out there that could have better success than Barnes come tournament time
