His roster management is pretty pathetic. We have 5 scholarship players that aren’t D1 players.

Well I'm not sure that he is a good developer of talent. And, his roster has holes everywhere. He always throws his players under the bus and never takes any blame - puts it all on his players.

Sorry but you’re wrong. Jerry Green’s 1998-99, 99-00, and 00-01 teams would beat this team by 15 points. Every one of Bruce Pearls teams would have beaten this team.

He’s done some good work with admiral, Grant, bone, pons and up until this season Fulky... but there have been some terrible misses on talent eval as well ..: ORN, Gaines, Kent, Plavsic etc.

Hard to say. Barnes is not an elite coach and is mot even as good as Pearl, but he’s a good coach who is recruiting well at the moment. Keep him and run up a NCAA toruney streak for a few years to solidify the program.

Only a handful of coaches have made it to the Final Four and won National Championships. None of them will ever leave their current destinations.

Considering our history, making the Tournament is pretty damn good.

This team is totally underachieving this season and you know it. Call it bashing if you want but there really is not excuse for several of the performances we have witnessed this season and unless this team does a complete turnaround, this will go down as one of the most underachieving BB teams in UT history

They may beat this team, but they couldn't compete with Barnes' consistently. You can cherry pick the best UT teams in the past 30+/-yrs and they couldn't consistently compete with Barnes' best UT teams.

Gaines is a defensive kid. Some of the guys should have taken a redshirt.

There are two players on the roster that had more than one full season on the team at the start of this season. They’ve both missed games with injuries. If there ever was a year when pre-season workouts needed to not be disrupted, this was it.

Perhaps you have unreasonable expectations. “this will go down as one of the most underachieving BB teams in UT history”. Calm down.

John Beilein is great and obviously did wonderfully at Michigan, but I do not want to force out a consistent 66-year-old just to hire a 68-year-old who has been out of college coaching for the last two seasons.
