Once Jean-Mary is officially hired that gives the Vols 10 assistants, because Kevin Steele is still officially a coach. Another coach cannot be hired until the Vols part ways with Steele.

Correct. We both know Steele isn’t coach special teams. So who we hiring?

Have we been hoping with the writing on the wall somebody would offer him a job elsewhere and he would walk away from our job for their's? Or have we been holding on to him as a fallback till we covered his areas with qualified top llist coaches? Will be interesting t see how this ends. We may end up paying him for the insurance he was originally hired to be. Won't fault him or CJH, it is just how it has played out. It is not like he is double dipping with our money and walking away. He did sign on at the height of uncertainty at his alma mater.
