Agreed, TDA especially. I think Ozuna is really good and this team fits him perfectly but SSS last year. You’re talking about three no doubt career ‘years’ last year. Lot of 🕳 in the lineup.
On the plus side, Ronald will be better and the pitching has to be better by default.
Z the problem with Riley and cutting down on his strikeouts is it cuts down on his power. The only redeeming grace he has at the plate.
We don’t talk about xFIP anymore because it doesn’t fit the narrative but it’s not great for the home team.I agree, I think Ozuna can at least be 2017 Ozuna. He’s better than the Cardinal years for sure. Love TDA but I mean .411 BABIP won’t repeat itself. He’s going to come back down to earth. I think Ronnie could win MVP in 2021. He’s not a 19% (!!!) walk rate type but if that is at 15% and he hits .280 he will make jaws drop.
Really the key is gonna be Oz and Dans. If they can get 2019 Oz and 2020 Dans for a full season they should be good. The pitching has to be better by default. Morton will be average at minimum (and probably better than that). Fried is great, a healthy Soroka is great and I think Wright found something last year.

The guy you didn’t mention is the best shot at being ‘great’
The problem is, we need more than 810-820 from our 3rd basemanEven with that he still posted an above average expected wOBA last year. He’s athletic, he works his ass off. I think he can unlock it. I’m not saying he will be a .900 OPS but I think there’s a .810-.820 OPS guy there. And maybe Chipper will find something for him, it worked with Dansby.
Yeah, hope we don’t get left holding the bag with waters (we already have)I like Shewmake. I bet he starts in AA this year. I think he could get called up in 2022. He had Contreras in his top 100 and loves his bat.
He doesn’t have Waters in his top 100 which I’m low on Waters too but that is just contrarian.
