Being empty nesters now, we made a trip to Charleston/Isle of Palms in October. Fall is awesome for the beach. Far fewer people, weather is perfect and rates are better.

I love the shore, not specifically the beach. I don’t go to sweat and get sunburned, as I can do that at home. I go for the smell of the salt and iodine and the sounds of the waves and sea birds. It’s a soul-restorer.

This check in at the airport is gonna be interesting. I have powdered sugar all over my jacket and pants from Dunkin Donuts. I've wiped it off as much as possible, but there's still a white powdery substance

I've literally got Pringles, candy with foil wrapping, and tobacco with tin lids. I've went through the tsa thing twice now, and nothing. Tiffany, on the other hand, has been flagged and patted down twice. I think it's something to do with her urostomy, or stints. I saw this time they had it highlighted on her scan in that area. I'm also a very angelic looking fella, the big GS dog walking with the cop just came up and wanted petted.
