I had the rare privilege of sneaking a peak at DW’s list this morning. I’ll probably disappear after I post this and be locked in the closet that @Atlanta VOL and @HankHill are kept in, but I can not keep this from VN. It must be done.

DC List:
1. Big time DC that laughed when he saw our number on ID.
2. Big time DC that ignored our call when he saw our number on ID.
3. NFL coach that pretended to be interested bc he was bored that day.
4. Popular recruiter that decided more money wasn’t worth career suicide.
5. Sitting head coach at a mid major that knew he had a better team than us.
6. Imaginary coach to make us think we weren’t really screwing around.
7. Position coach from nowhere university. He actually gave us a look, then realized he was crazy and stayed.
8. Another former DC who was demoted that fans revolted against.
9. A homeless man that roams up and down Gay Street.

Playing devil's advocate a little here, but white people, mostly men, have received preferential treatment for centuries, if not mellinnia. I'm not justifying hiring someone because they're a minority, I'm just saying white males have almost never gotten the bad end of the shaft, period. It really has been a ridiculous run.

Many of the poorer European immigrants to the United States would probably disagree with you as they tried to eek and scratch out a survival in their ghettos and slums. But hey at least they were white and had all that privilege.

I am not discounting the horrors and evils that black folks have had to endure over the years. I am merely pointing out that the problem is much more of a socioeconomic problem than it is a race problem. If it was then there wouldn't be a diverse set of people in Congress, playing professional sports, sitting on the boards of companies, running their own businesses, etc.

Rich folks tend to have more opportunity and poor folks less. The question is how do we help poor folks have more opportunity. I don't know the answer but I know the gubment is definitely not the answer. They've been screwing it up since they started trying to fix it.

You can read my post in coachery thread on FB forum. The coach my friend represents is gone. He still talks to boosters. I’m afraid what I hear now is even further from the source than before. Sorry I don’t know much about the DC hire except that we spent a very long time on Washington. He was our top target by far.
