I have been told by HR of a company that I have worked for, that if I'm ever up for a "promotion" they would have to make sure they have there percentages of diversity hires before they could award my hard work with the promotion.

Therefore, it matters not if I'm the more qualified candidate for the job, I may be passed because of my skin color, ethnicity, gender, and whether I'm gay or straight.

Not exactly what I would call equal opportunity.

Sounds like that was the company’s nice way of telling you that you weren’t worthy of a promotion

I hope you are right but it has been well over a decade since we won more than 8 games. So it’s certainly not like it would be unprecedented

Past history does not necessarily indicates future performance, specially when different persons are involved.

It's the heart of mankind. It's always the heart of mankind. Do you live by the Golden Rule in all you do or say? When given authority to make decisions do you actually follow that simple principle? We are all the same, brothers and sisters of humanity that can be traced back to the same beginning. Accept that fact and realize that when you don't treat others equally, as a sibling, you are the problem. Does that mean it will all go swimmingly well all of the time? Nah. But it gives all of us a strong foundation on which to build respect and reconcile our differences.

Or, you can "work" or "legislate" or "command" or "penalize" or "quota" whatever others to do what you want them to do. We see how well that has gone since the beginning of time.

So hire the best available as coaches in the Vol football program keeping that simple principle in mind.

Wouldn't call that "nice"... at best, it's dishonest. At worst, it's basing something off of race and might be illegal.

Needless to say you probably need to either find another place to work or do your own thing. Easier said than done, but that should be your goal IMO.

We already know how to beat his defense. His offense will keep giving us the ball so that we can run the score up.

Also, we will finally be able to get bama in trouble with the ncaa for cheating as he really isn’t good at it...
