I'll be honest, the top 10 passed us by already. We are in second and third tier. If you're there you might as well play the long game and attempt to get the best of both worlds. Once you've exhausted that effort you can look those student athletes in the eye and tell them you did what you could, they'll know it and the coaching community would know it. He's playing the long game imo.

I’ve also been blessed in my line of work to live as a minority for years in Asia, sometimes from a place of privilege, and sometimes disdained for being an American. I’ve been on both sides.
Our former pastor who married us was African American and I have the privilege of speaking in predominantly African American churches too. I feel like I’m kind of rambling now and I’m not sure it’s even relevant
