Still, sources confirmed to FootballScoop that the Tennessee defensive coordinator vacancy has elicited strong interest from the college ranks, including coaches with Power-5 coordinator experience as well as head coaching experience, and multiple NFL assistant coaches
Sources... DW? Keeping some control over critical narratives? I would.
I don’t think I’d say similar profile. Tulane and memphis are well ahead of any of the places this guy has been. Seems off to me he was at memphis 1 year and then went backwards in programs
RBs are the easiest position to coach. He has been a head coach before and is only 40 years old. We definitely hired him for recruiting Memphis so it’s not all bad. People wouldn’t complain about Montario Hardesty and this guy has the better resume between the two. This makes no sense.
He has coached QB and WR his whole career and has never coached RBs.
Is there truly a RB coach that wouldn't come to the UT?
Quick look at his resume says he's never coached RBs, which isn't that big a deal, but can he recruit? Wonder what happened with Jabbar Juluke? Seemed like a much better candidate IMO.
