I think it simply comes down to "I can go there and be bad for a few years and try to build something through sanctions or I can wait a year and possibly get a similar offer at a place ready to succeed on Day 1."
People should flood the WNML site with demands to fire Jimmy. Start a petition. Something. The guy is a cancer to UT sports IMO.It looked pretty ingenious. Got Jimmy to bite on an incorrect name, showing his stupidity and ignorance, while catching a leaker red-handed. I will give DW props and points if this leads to Jimmy's exit from Knoxville.
Me neither. Nor would I have been with James Franklin. I am, however, willing to concede that DW and JH know more about football than I do. So for the time being, I feel fairly positive about the direction we're headed - even tho I believe there's no immediate gratification associated with it.FYI, I am NOT over the moon..
I can totally understand that, but have you also passed on an extra million a year and guaranteed that for 3 years. You would also almost be guaranteed to go back to your original position if things didn't work out.FTR, I've passed on a promotion opportunity because I knew it was a shiz show, not worth the money, and would be horrible on my private life.
Those things do happen.
I find it odd that a position coach would not want a chance to (a. Make a lot more money. (b. Have the opportunity to be a DC in the top Conference in the nation. (c. Be able to advance their career while making more money. Lets face it a coach making $400.000 that coaches at UT and gets a $1million or so bucks, even if they fail will do no worse than they are now if they get fired, they'll go right back coaching somewhere else. I don't see how the sanctions looming around here would effect their decision that much. Getting a bonus for production could be worked in by wording of the contract.
Nope. Anna is not a Homer and quite good at her jobSIAP but Another CB for Simpson to Clemson, thing that makes me optimistic is how Wilt isnt confident on it, and then one is a miss state insider and the other is a clemson homer

Coaches in college football are nomadic by trade. They change addresses like most people change TV channels. Their whole careers are not only based on their performance but the performance of a bunch of college kids and an administration and other coaches in which they have absolutely no control. Not a very stable career path in the big picture of things.Coaches want stability as much as you or I—even though they are in a profession where there isn’t a lot of it seemingly.
Wouldn't hurt the two greenhorns (D W and JH) to have a coach on staff, who knows how SEC football is played.
