If this falls through we will without a doubt prove we are the the walking talking punchline of every bad joke a sports media person has ever dreamed of. NOW, that being said we will get our DC and it may not be the well known up and comer and we will over pay them but we will be back stronger than ever and when we do they will just dream up new jokes.

Can’t blame Donde for that. This is who we are after 15 years of administrative ineptitude. We are in a situation now where we will have to overpay to attract someone in here.

He can't force someone to sign, and it sounds like he is trying to not get totally worked in the deal. We all say "pay him 2 mil and get it over with"..but he is the AD..he can't really do that. We would be killing him fir doing that if it didn't work out.

The unfortunate thing about the leaks from OSU side regarding contract figures is now we are going to extremely overpay for a small school DC. Gillespie has all the leverage now.

Tennessee is a real dumpster fire. Here they are over paying and begging a position coach for the DC and if he was worth this much OSU would have already been paying him. Almost the same situation with Ansley , a position coach and got paid a mil and had never been a DC

Can’t worry about those things. If we have to pay up, we do it right now. We’re not in a position to quibble.

Family is important but sometimes you need to make a move if you want to get promoted. This is a major reason that people change jobs in the business world. However... whether he can put a decent staff together might be the biggest hurdle in our situation. He is not going to come here if he is set up for failure.
