Man, we got the same play list (add Ryan Bingham and Will Hope)
Ha, he’s part of the “so on”! Been listening to Bingham for probably 7-8 years! Will hope is great as well. Whitey Morgan another great one I didn’t mention!
Love Childers and Sturgill too, I’ve just had to look past their political BS as of late. Same with Bingham.

Sounds like they’re in the home stretch with Washington. He’s been offered a very substantial deal. Before we pile on him for not being a DC, it’s worth noting that he’s one of the most respected defensive coaches in the game. He was passed over for the job at OSU by two seventy year old men who share a co-DC title. That is a move to keep the peace with boosters. Washington is the coach the players love. Every unit he’s coached at OSU, Michigan and BC has risen to the top. He develops LBs into the best in the country. He was a great DL coach. He even excelled as a special teams and RB coach. He calls the back half gameplan for OSU, designs blitzes for opponents, and is considered one of the top young defensive minds. Look at his units at each stop. Particularly look at the development of the Michigan LB unit and the 19 OSU LB unit. He’s high energy, intense and a great recruiter. If we land this guy, I’ll be very happy. I don’t care who we missed on, or how many plays he’s called. I think he can be a great one.

We need recruiters now. Washington is a stud. Surround him with say Garner and a few other stud recruiters and great coaches and watch out. Bet we have no problem signing the in state class then. But reason this DC hire needs to be an excellent coach and recruiter.
I haven't followed it much, but who are the main defensive guys for 22 in TN? I know Nolen but seems like most others are offensive guys

My only concern is he had been doing that with somewhat loaded rosters. Pruitt looked good when he was at Alabama with a loaded roster.

Sweet, it's time for some good things to happen for this team.

I should have stopped and gotten out in the middle of the road and taken that shot wide angle..but..I was in a hurry to get to Palo Duro canyon State Park on the other side of Amarillo before dark...but..then after telling my wife for years about the beauty of Palo Duro...the stupid park was closed to everybody unless you had a reservation when we got there..thanks to stupid Covid 🤬

Palo Dura is nice. I've camped there. Tremendous canyon. The Canyons up north of Taos at what used to be called Wild Rivers are spectacular too. When I have business in Raton I'll drive out of the mountains at Cimarron toward Raton where I-25 connects, across the range and I'll see antelope, bison, and turkey. Last few years I have seen both a golden eagle and a bald eagle on that drive as well. Will see deer and elk frequently in the canyon.

Have been blessed with these encounters and the experiencing of the variety of the lands around here. A couple of Springs ago there were all kinds of carp churning the head waters of Eagle Nest Lake. Trout and Salmon in those waters too. Came head to head with a badger at about 20' by the lake during a hike in the same time frame. Fortunately we were able to leave each other alone for the most part.

Another blessing has been observing ceremony at Taos Pueblo. The state parks are very limited at present but I did have a nice hike to some springs down by the Rio Grande at the floor of the West canyon at Wild Rivers in November.

There is an old burned out spa and hotel just beneath that view from the pass of the lake in your shot. They say there are slot machines in the water at the foot of the dam just over from that pass from when the politicians used to stop to gamble in Eagle Nest coming from Santa Fe to the horse track that used to be in Raton that were thrown over when that was no longer a go. Yep, I have lived around here for nearly 25 years now.

Same struggles here. I don’t care about others beliefs, but I can’t stand when celebrities feel they have to be in your face with them.
