The Pub versus the Endzone

Apparently a more likes to posts is like street cred in the ff, learnt that today.
Remember the guy in the Basketball forum, Sergeant or Sarge something, who obsessed over his like ratio? And then he started claiming Ceres e-cred because of the number of times his threads or posts had been read. Dude, we’re just trying to get past your stuff to read something useful.

Edit: that’s it, I’m turning off autocorrect!

I've seen a few obsessed with it. It's funny to me.

Hey op, all jokes aside. There's goid people in both these forums. Yeah, we act like a nut in the some, but for some of us it's a stress relief. Some of us have major complications in real life, and the silly helps get a break from reality. If that's not your style, several good threads in here with mostly normal conversation, especially the dinner thread!

Pour Jo, still doesn't understand the Zone.

While we’re on the topic of what used to be, why are PMs shut down?

I wasn't around for that, it happened during a sabbatical. I came back and they were gone.

And presently VN lacks these animated emojis because?
They were retired with the big upgrade when, a year and a half ago? Maybe they weren’t part of the new forums package. * waves hands vaguely in air *

Since most are animated, they probably use more bandwidth (ooo, fancy word) than the current lame ones. One of the members posted the Wayback link, and I grabbed it. It’s not as functional as before, because you have to click on an image and copy it instead of just entering the code, and the images quickly go static on mobile ( not on laptop) and have to be refreshed, which is slow.
