Finebaum makes no secret that he's a fan of Tennessee first and foremost. He's said that very thing many times. What he doesn't do is create a false sense of grandeur like so many of our fans are over this hire. This hire is extremely questionable and will be until Heupel starts beating people on a regular basis. If he doesn't, we'll be right back here in 3 years and all of those who were clamoring for Pruitt to be fired, and fed into JH's hands, will be right back here screaming for Heupel's scalp. Anyone who believes this all came about because of an 'honest' whistleblower is the mayor of naïve ville.
Pondscum is a huge Alabama fan first and foremost.I believe it's because of his Giant EGO! Because of the Vols Coaching Carousel and feels we're a laughing stock! You can tell it burnnnsss him. You really can. It's as if it reflects poorly on him because of being an Alumni! I've seen those radar dish ears turn 3 shades of red, with his eyes rolling back in his head. He never offers encouragement! Never!!
If you really have to talk to a Bammer on the radio, then your better bet is Jay Barker. One of the few out there who isn't dumber than dirt.
Heupel could talk to Finebaum. But it would be hard to hear questions from someone who has to move his mouth while it is still attached to Saban's anus.
I've seen him do the same thing with other school colors. He's a media professional. He's the voice of the SEC whether people like it or not. This pic means nothing.
I'd rather listen to Jay's wife.View attachment 348529
Yeah. There are as many images out there of Finebaum rocking Florida colors as there are of him rolling with the flow of Tide.
You're a Tennessee man.
Got any Bammer gear in your closet?
Wear it proudly wherever you go?
Finebaum graduated from Tennessee before I did in 1992. Our rival wasn't Florida. The rival was Alabama.
No one calls themselves a "Tennessee fan" wearing Alabama gear without getting paid to do a job on the sideline.
As for his judgement regarding coaching hires, Finebaum was enthusiastic in his support for Squidbilly.
If I want to learn about the quality of a coaching hire for Tennessee, then I'm going to trust the assessment of a Jayson Swain over that of a guy who whores himself out to the Crimson Tide.
sort of an ironic/paradox of our football program - it is only relevant in the sense to those who say the program is "not relevant"I’m quoting what Finebaum recently stated. Sorry, I forgot the blue font.View attachment 348334
I agree. He has much more important things to do during his first month on the job than getting jabbed by this clown. I don't care if he is a Tennessee graduate. He has no loyalty to his University.Probably Josh been holding him off while he plays catch-up with the roster and staffing.
He'll probably agree to appear with Finebaum next week or two. Now that things are settling down just a bit from the frenzied first week.
That's an exceptionally naive perspective when you consider the man is a professional journalist covering all of the SEC. It's good for his business to appeal to all of the fan bases and be even keeled. You're thinking in very narrow terms. There's a lot of that on here.
