And what? What part of “ Barnes is overpaid based on results” do you not understand? Are you from Alabama?
That’s funny. Glad you agree! Here’s a reality check for you.
All college basketball coaches are overpaid.
Yes, that goes for Rick Barnes, Coach K, Calipari, Oats, I could go on....
I don’t care how many championships those coaches have won. None of them are worth millions of dollars to coach basketball.
There’s nothing you nor me can do about it so complaining about it is a waste of time.
There are a lot of coaches that have their teams “ consistently” in the top 25 making a lot less than CRB. Again, I appreciate what CRB has done here but that shouldn’t give him a pass on earning a $5M salary without some results to match the expectations. Unless something drastically changes, He will have underachieved 2 of the last 3 seasons. Twice in his teams have been picked to win the SEC and we have zero trophy’s to show for it.
I used to purchase season tickets to both football and basketball which required a healthy donation. However, after watching the athletics Dept. throw money around like our Government, I no longer participate in their ticket games. Purchasing second hand is much more diligent.Unless Barne’s salary is coming out of your bank statement, then there’s no reason to complain about it.

Lol, if we Had a football coach that was the 4th highest paid coach in the country and he wasn’t competing for and winning championships, everyone would want him fired.
I don’t disagree. It’s all about winning games . However, with higher pay comes higher expectations. We just fired a coach who was being paid 38th in the country. If you don’t win, it doesn’t matter how much you make.
Martin was being paid like 10th in the conference here, and many weren’t happy, including me being frustrated in year three. It doesn’t matter what a coach makes- he’s got to win enough games.
Why do all of our guards (VS is the worst) keep driving in the middle and not looking to shoot or pass, they just lose the ball, walk, or a turnover. Driving and kicking out is not a new move anymore, teams are waiting. We need to shoot “and hit” our layups. Keyon missed 5 layups, you have to finish after contact (he is my favorite player). Last night was Springers worst game by far.Where’s all these PGs we have instead of Vescovi?

FWIW, missed shots in which you are fouled do not count as FG attempts. He had 3 of those instances in the 2nd half. Two drives to the right side of the basket, and then the final play of the game where he got the OReb, got fouled going back up, and made 1 of 2 FTs. He also had 2 misses at the rim without being fouled. So, technically, he did miss 5 shots at the rim, but only two of those shots counted as FG attempts.“Keyon” missed 5 layups while going 2 for 6 ?
Yep, all those layups were pretty highly contested. There is missing an uncontested gimme layup and missing when you’re basically mugged. Two entirely different situations involved.FWIW, missed shots in which you are fouled do not count as FG attempts. He had 3 of those instances in the 2nd half.
