Because you aren't incorrectly insinuating that a significant portion of the fanbase wants/wanted an unqualified Manning as HC? Or that Tee Martin is being held to a different standard since he too is unqualified to be a HC?

I asked a simple question. Why the difference?How can Peyton who has never coached be called on for the position and Tee who does have experience be completely condemned by the fan base. Let’s leave the racism talk out of it. I know that’s Big Al’s take but I’m not going there. My point is fan behavior not racism.

Cuonzo bailed out again because that's what he does...he was offered an extension and left because he knew his roster would be bare.

Right, just a simple question, with no insinuation that three guys wanting an unqualified Manning as the head coach, being indicative of a 'fickle fanbase' holding Tee Martin to a different set of standards, for "reasons".

Maybe you should show anyone with actual hiring influence calling for Manning to get an HC interview before you start claiming that Tee is being held to a different set of standards for "reasons".

I don’t think Peyton would necessarily be successful and I don’t want him to coach, but there is a school of thought that winning in college football is more about the jimmy’s and joe’s than the X’s and O’s. Some believe that Peyton’s star power alone would have us at the top of recruiting fairly quickly. If he put together a decent staff who knows. I’m not saying it’s right or he would be better than Tee, but Tee is not providing a spark in recruiting like Peyton would. That’s your answer IMO

That’s a good perspective. Like Penny in Memphis, the players will come if Peyton is sitting in their living room. But that staff would be the key.

How was he "not wanted"? He underachieved every year he was here except one where he got a lucky draw after barely even making the NCAA tourney with 3 NBA players on the team. He abandoned his team when his rosters went bare just like he has done at every program he has been at...

Deflecting? Your premise has no basis in reality. An unqualified Manning was never suggest as a HC candidate by anyone other then a few people on this board. An unqualified Tee Martin has apparently been crying to his friends that he's being treated unfairly by not getting an HC interview.

Those situations are wholly different.

How was he treated poorly? what was "toxic"? He was criticized by large groups of the fanbase for being a mediocre coach who underperformed based on the talent he had....and he did underachieve. Seems we have lots of coaches criticized for that in many sports here regardless of their skin color

But only Ky and Fl won more during his tenure. Yeah, he under achieved for a program who historically hasn’t done much in basketball.
