Doesn't matter what Arik thinks. Unless they pass the one time transfer rule instead of kicking it down the curb, his butt will be riding the pine in 2021. He'll catch passes in practice. Cool. Are you trying to insinuate that Emory can’t throw? You realize he’s played meaningful snaps at UF for three seasons, right? He’s not taking his first snaps and making his first throws like some unknown rookie. We’ve seen him. This guy has been in big time games against the Auburn’s, Georgia’s and LSU’s of the world. In fact, he’s amassed some good experience. 55 for 86 passing for 613, 7 TD’s 1 pick. He’s also ran the ball 92 times for 514 yards and 6 more TD’s. Emory has demonstrated he’s a good passer, will get even better with 1st team reps all spring and offseason. Arik Gilbert obviously liked what he saw.
But go on...

Then the SEC has to rule on whether or not they will allow intraconference Xfers as well! The NCAA is going to allow all these 2020 transfers immediate eligibility. He’ll be UF’s starting TE replacing Kyle Pitts THIS season, unless Keon Zipperer beats him out, which is possible because he’s pretty good too.
Hate to disappoint you, but this is going to pass this year (vote is scheduled for 8/1):
NCAA Proposal Will Grant Transfers Immediate Eligibility

Keep holding your breath on the NCAA voting on that on 8/1. They've already backtracked on voting on it multiple times. I couldn't care less what the gators do, nor do 99.9999999999% of Volnation. The NCAA is going to allow all these 2020 transfers immediate eligibility.
