Correct me if I’m wrong but this is how I view it. Which is actually better for us?

1. Kiffin was a Builder
2. Dooley was a Builder
3. Butch was a Bringer
4. Pruitt was a Builder

I seem to recall Butch being a Brick mason.
He laid enough bricks to get himself fired anyway.

Chemistry is important. Also taking on the biggest job you ever attempted, you would want to bring in the people you trust to implement your process. Establishing culture really needs a lot of ally’s or people onboard.
No way I would hire everyone external year 1. After you establish your brand of football and your culture, then you can make tweaks.
taking on the biggest challenge in your lives would you want to hire a bunch of randoms that you think are good, or have the people you trust and helped you get to where you are to assist?

Heupel appears to be bringing his offensive staff ... the good ones. And leaving his defensive staff ... the bad ones.
So by building the defensive staff, he's 50/50. Maybe it will be the right formula.

We need to throw some serious cash at a defensive staff and then let the DC run it. Personally, I'd call Barry Odom and then let him hire the defensive staff to run what he wants.

The bringer had the most success

1: I believe you’re wrong. Partly anyway.
Ed O, Monte, I believe there was another relation to Kiffin that all came (and left for USC) with him
