We should hamstring legislation at all levels - the real stuff, executive orders, and court mandates. They should all be forced to include "legislative" impact statements that cover everything included. The impact statement would have to include proposed benefits, why change is necessary, immediate costs, long term costs, negative effects ... It should be so onerous that nobody would want to do anything outside the necessary. It might be a way to finally get rid of riders and attachments - just too damn much effort to please somebody else for a vote. The final point: if you don't get it right often enough on benefits and costs, you are banned for life from writing legislation.

And more manufacturing pollution and power plant pollution than what battery operated vehicles don't emit directly. Most environmentalists who propose changes like this are idiots incapable of understanding the negative consequences of their actions.

One of my favorites for dumb azzery is using natural gas for electric power production. Every energy transaction has losses - just plain old thermodynamics. Even electric transmission has significant losses, but the argument never seems to be that you are simply better off producing the heat you need by using the natural gas directly rather than converting it to electricity first. Even when we do use it directly we cripple it by running fans blowers and compressors with electric power. Next time you have a gas furnace and are sitting in the cold because there's no electric power to make it work, think how the gas could have been used to power the rest of the furnace. The new gas tankless water heaters are crippled because they require electric power to function. My wife wanted to make the conversion; and when I saw the requirement for electric power, it was dead in the water - I like hot showers even if the power is off.

Have you ever wondered why people jizz off at how efficient and how much power LED lights save, but they all have huge heat sinks on them?

I've never really looked at some of the issues, but I have always wondered why some LED bulbs have really heavy bases while the "lollypop" bulbs are extremely light.

I sure hope not, but I would put it at 2 in 10. The filibuster will end for sure, and it will may well be in JR's hands.
Point being if one looks at the macro effect, Dems are hellbent on being a one party rule.
If you want to differentiate R's from D's, fiscal policy is not the only ledger. They have all 3 branches, the MSM, Academia, and the techs...gonna kill dissent.
