Imagine thinking it's a good idea to hire a new coach that has:
  1. Never been a head coach, and
  2. Had two of the greatest QBs in college football history (great players around them, too), and
  3. Been the sole offensive coordinator for two years
All while soon to be navigating a program through NCAA sanctions.

This is going to be great.
Love that we're using his great QB play AGAINST him. This place is a real treat sometimes.

Well I'll be... @Kingzport might've been right
👀... did I do that right? We will see how it plays out.. I’d definitely take Herman with Steele over JF, Dykes, Elliott, etc.. but opinions are like buttholes, everyone has one..

Let’s hold out hope for Herman! Info here hasn’t changed or been talked about since, so idk if that’s good or bad?

Neither did Fleck. That's why I said "turned down".

And I will say I'm wrong if we end up firing him, but it's not hard to see that common thread between them.

Well. They were both the #1 QB in america coming out of high school so i think that matters. we're not talking about Kyle Trask here who comes in and is good out of nowhere.

You just described David Cutcliffe.

He proceeded to go 44–29 at bottom dweller Ole Miss.
