Just think about it for a second if it’s Franklin...

PSU, the search firm and UT would have done extensive background checks on him. So maybe those of us that don’t like him just don’t like him because he kicked our ass when at Vandy and maybe he didn’t actually cover up rape and maybe is a good guy.

You know what he does do? Win.

And nationally this would send shockwaves throughout the sports world that dumpster fire joke of a program UT just hired JF away from PSU. It would be massive nationally.

All this. Folks on this forum are making morality judgment calls on a case we know very little about. What we know was played out in the media and ‘word of mouth’ conjecture. Franklin was cleared in the court of law. Also, can you imagine the hoops Penn State jumped through to vet Franklin for their own job? After the mess they went through with Paterno? Come on.

if he’s our coach, I’m all in. And Swanson is right. This will send shockwaves through college football. We will have one of the top 3 coaches in the conference.

So what exactly is his daughter's health issue? I know Vanderbilt has great doctors and all, but there are also world class doctors as close to PSU as there are UT, and any of them can be on consult anywhere in the world. So this daughter needs to be in Nashville narrative doesn't fly.

Franklin would be an outstanding hire. He won at Vanderbilt. I haven't looked much into his past alleged transgressions but he sure as **** ain't getting the PSU job if any of it were remotely true

IMO That would be the last job he would’ve gotten if any of that stuff were legit. After everything PSU went through I can’t believe they wouldn’t properly vet Franklin and allow him to become the head coach.

I'm personally fine with Franklin. But I'm a little uneasy with how negative a lot of folks are about him. Hopefully if it's him y'all will come around. He could win big and at minimum he puts us right back into national relevance.

More about the past recruiting issues with Freeze instead of the hookers. As much as I would love to have Freeze and throw up the double Gauldens to the NCAA that would be tough to do with our recent investigation.
