Just want to clarify that the end of my post is as important as the beginning. I believe that we’ve made one offer only, and that is JF. My friend is noticeably worried that we’re on day three after agreeing to basic terms. I think it better wrap up today. I can’t imagine that it could drag on now that it’s in the news. It’s got to become public or it’ll die.

If they're still talking to him after 3 days, it means he's still listening. Shows they're determined to do whatever it takes imo.

I see he contacted the victim.

I also see reports someone close to the player say he told them to delete the video. I don't know - this is exactly like Schiano to me. A third hand source says Franklin saw something and did the wrong thing.

We were up in arms over it when it was Schiano - can't back off it now.

The video was seen the next day by the authorities. People forget how quickly the case actually moved. Chris Boyd was actually kicked off the team as well immediately for txt messages trying to help them cover it up. They all were convicted because all of the evidence was given immediately. So if there was a hint of evidence that Franklin tried to "cover up" the police AND the University would've moved on him quickly.

I truly don't understand why Franklin would come here. The Nashville hospital thing doesn't hold much water. It's an hour difference in the air between State College and Knoxville. Would he be making that flight several times a week? And thus saving himself like 10 hours? That's the only way it makes sense. And even then it's a stretch.

He's got it made at PSU. Unless he has bungled the roster up there somehow and knows 2021 is gonna be a terrible year.

Just think about it for a second if it’s Franklin...

PSU, the search firm and UT would have done extensive background checks on him. So maybe those of us that don’t like him just don’t like him because he kicked our ass when at Vandy and maybe he didn’t actually cover up rape and maybe is a good guy.

You know what he does do? Win.

And nationally this would send shockwaves throughout the sports world that dumpster fire joke of a program UT just hired JF away from PSU. It would be massive nationally.

I’d be fine with Franklin. I think a majority of the people that don’t like him—don’t like him because he beat us at in-state rival, plus he said inflammatory stuff. He wouldn’t be employed by PSU if this stuff was true...his butt would be out.

This is odd that he would be the only one they went after. Tennessee fans disliked him at Vandy .

I promise you the first time he beats UGA, Florida, or Bama he will be a star .

Being in Nashville I am certainly going to enjoy needling Vandy fans about stealing their hero/best coach ever.
