CM called plays for Tahj Boyd and a frosh Watson.
Elliot has had an upperclassmen Watson and Tlaw. The one year they didn't have a generational QB they got embarrassed by Bama and lost to Syracuse.
Harbough is 49-22 at Michigan. I'd take that in a heartbeat.Who is a “big boy hire”
Frost, harbaugh, and Herman, we’re all considered “big boy” hires and none of have really worked. So who is this “big boy”
yay @BruinVolSF just said it’s Franklin that has agreed to terms in the football forum

Frost/ Herman came from non P5 schools. Not exactly a big boy hire. If you want to take sh*t serious, replicate how A&M handled their last search.
Pruitt has done a helluva number on our fan base. I think there are a lot of positives to take away from Elliott. I get that there are parallels with Pruitt, but it’s not like they seem to share any similar personality traits. At all. White may be new, but he’s not stupid and big time people close to the situation wouldn’t allow him to hire a Pruitt clone w/o some serious pushback. If Elliot knows exactly what he’s getting into and still wants this beyond the money then I have no issue with the hire. We have some pieces on offense that he could walk right into and mold into his vision. I honestly believe that.I think the hate for Elliot is out of control. You can be hesitant that he isn't a head coach, but literally everything else about him screams that he would be a great hire and HC. In an ideal world, TN would be hiring literally whoever they wanted. We are not in an ideal world for UT, and I would venture to say we're at a lower point than ever aside from having a proven AD at the helm
Well this is interesting. I’ve only ever associated boosters as advocating for schools, never thought of them as working on behalf of agents or even specific coaches.I just got clarification from someone. UT is not avoiding Sexton clients. DW has just put word out that he will not take calls from anyone doing Sexton’s bidding (boosters in particular). This puts some stress on pursuing Sexton clients (they signed with him for a reason), but has not eliminated them completely. So you can’t rule his clients completely out of the picture.
I've heard some rumors on a few assistants for Elliott, so I'll try to do this and fill in some gaps.
HC: Elliott
OC: I'd guess Chad Morris because he's available.
RB: Graham
WR: Tee or Justin Stepp
OL: Alex Atkins or Thomas Austin
QB: JP Losman
DC: Steele or Todd Bates
DL: Todd Bates
LB: Steele or Andrew Warwick
DB: Mike Reed or Charlie Harbison
Marion Hobby is also an option on the defensive side, and Joe Craddock on the offensive side. Craddock is the leading candidate at MTSU for their OC position.
Caller on Basilio saying Elliott would bring George Quarles on staff.
