you do realize that technically speaking, Franklin has no baggage right? As far as i remember he hasn't gotten in trouble with the NCAA (i could be wrong i didn't research this) and his named was cleared on the vandy scandal stuff. I know you dislike him because of the vandy scandal (rightfully so) but technically he's cleaner in the eyes of the NCAA than chadwell, kiffin, etc who have had more serious NCAA violations on their record.

I think White and the new coach were landed long before Pruitt and Fulmer were fired. We are dealing with a completely different administration, and they knew they had to have their top targets locked down before they made the moves that they made to get Pruitt and Fulmer out.

Stoerner has said a couple of times that Low and Feldman would be the "preferred" distribution channels, and according to Stephen Godfrey, DW fed Godfrey himself incorrect info in the past about a coaching hire.

Interesting times...

On first team this morning the first couple of names he mentioned were Franklin, Dykes, and Leipold. He went on later in the interview to say the others (Campbell, Fleck, etc) but I thought it was interesting that is where he thinks this might be going.

Freeze I think would be eaten alive here by the media, so yeah I'm out. Kiffin's baggage is different. I'd love a Kiffin hire.

Listen, Freeze is linked to hookers/prostitutes being used on recruiting visits. James Franklin, fair or not fair, is linked to a potential rape coverup.

Kiffin? His "baggage" is immaturity and having a big ego. That's not that bad. I just don't think this university needs any sort of coach who has been linked to college athletes and sexual favors/sexual abuse.

Interesting observation.

You make a good point concerning the leaks, or the lack thereof.
Petersen, who is no longer being affiliated with a university, or boosters, could be the reason for the success in keeping this thing quiet.
