I am definitely on record not liking Chadwell that much. Power 5 HC. The only exception would be Freeze and maybe Napier. This isn’t knocking Elliott’s future prospectus. He may be great but he is gonna have to go through growing pains. We have gone through ten plus years of growing pains. We have to nail this.

I think everyone would take Campbell over Elliott. That’s Campbell’s decision.

Cristobal was fired at FIU and PJ Fleck is under .500 in the B1G

We are a dumpster fire, bleeding players, looming NCAA sanctions, and just did an internal investigation to get out of a buyout. We are lucky if we get anything better than the local PE teacher. White would be a good hire given the circumstances.

Elliott will/would be a hard sell to a fan base that has seen it’s share of coordinators and lower level HCs come to Knoxville and fail, then you factor in statements from White about wanting an offensive minded coach with HC experience and Boyd talking about a decade of greatness starting now. You gonna hitch all that on yet another unproven commodity?

I say all this knowing full well that hiring a proven commodity for this job today is extremely unlikely.
