I will go with Campbell. If it’s Elliott or our normal obscure mid major HC, I sure hope the new AD doesn‘t overpay like we did for Pruitt.

If Tennessee cannot get a winning P5 coach, I wouldn’t be unhappy with hiring Chadwell.

I don’t want him as permanent head coach, and I think White has to get through a lot of other names before having to settle for the caretaker.

If anything, if he can’t get one he wants, I’d guess that Steele remains acting or interim or whatever it is for next season, until he can get a guy he wants.

My hope is for once we don't have to settle.
If it came down to Steele or Dykes, I'd take Steele, though.

1. Putting him in the top 7 of the SEC. I recalled Pruitt was hired in at #7 but was wrong after checking. He was 8.

2. According to his peer group.

3. I don’t like seeing my University wasting their money.

I guess I just don't look at the money part of it like you do. If we had been paying Pruitt 1/2 of what we did over the past 3 years, I don't think I feel any better and it doesn't seem to have any effect on who we hire now.

I don’t know that it does or doesn’t. Spent money is spent and can’t be used.
