Alabama was a dumpster fire before Saban. ESPN ran stories about how they were no longer relevant in college football. (Kinda like us). Saban walked in and two years later they were Elite again.

It FAILS more than it works. But the right hire can work miracles. It’s possible. I starting to put faith in ADW and give whoever he brings us a chance.

I would say the situation at LSU was similar to our when Saban went there. Minus the potential NCAA troubles of course

He’s been a co OC. Whatever that means. He was the OC for 2020. That’s it.

It means he called the plays all those years. Scott was more of a planner.

From that was said by White at the Presser about hiring an experienced head coach he would lose a ton of credibility as the new AD if he goes the other way and hires another coordinator. That's a huge risk.

The key word is "was" I was referring to before we hired him. He was know for being one of the best DC just like now Elliott is one of the best OC's.

My argument is look at the people’s opinions of him. You don’t get nfl interest unless you are elite in college. Look at that people the last few years from college that have been on NFL radars.

Joe Brady, Dan Mullen, Ryan day, Lincoln Riley, Matt Campbell, urban Meyer, tony Elliot......

That should tell you all you need to know. It does for me and that’s totally ignoring how fantastic of a recruiter, person, and everything else tony is.

He’s just one of many that we can hire that will do great here.

Kliff kingsbury got hired to be a HC in the NFL. Was he elite in college?
